The Swedish Wilderness: EC Adventures

It’s finally here!! I (Max Sinclair, Founder of EC) travelled along with three Eco Companion Journalists Andy Trace (Film maker), Margarita Samsonova and Celinne Da Costa to experience some of the most ‘pure form’ eco tourism there is!

We spent an autumnal week in the Swedish wilderness at the Kolarbyn Eco Lodge, well known for being Sweden’s most primitive hotel!

Fresh drinking water from a nearby river, wild swimming in a lake for a bath, and a blazing log fire as your stove. This is as simple as a holiday with an eco focus can be.

What kind of an impact would this complete separation from the modern world deliver on all of us?

How did our ‘self confessed city girl’ Celinne cope?

And did we manage to capture any moose, beaver or the other famous wildlife of Sweden?

My time in Sweden really was everything I hoped for to help me unwind and relax!

The natural landscapes of the country are unique to the region with the dense forests and endless lakes spotted in between.

The Swedish hospitality was consistently top notch so that, even on a trip with simplicity at heart, we always felt looked after.

And whether it’s the moose, beaver or the wild cat with its prize mouse, there’s a huge amount of wildlife to see too!

If you’re currently thinking over your holiday plans for the year to come, and feeling the need to just disconnect, then I really would recommend spending a few nights at the Kolarbyn Eco Lodge

Win your holiday of a lifetime!
