"Enter through classic stable doors into a stylish yet traditional Welsh stone cottage."
Don't let its rustic character fool you: this cottage is fully equipped with high class, modern facilities, creating the perfect balance of rural charm and modern luxury. Perched atop a cliff overlooking Nefyn Bay, this converted stone cottage is the ideal location for a relaxing escape. With panoramic sea views over the bay, a stunning mezzanine living area, and velux windows that convert into balconies, you have total access to the spectacular scenery surrounding you. The cottage has one superking bedroom making it perfect for couples, but a sofa bed can also be converted to sleep two children (and you can even bring your dog along if you so wish!)
Surrounded by lush Welsh countryside, and not far from some of the most charming villages in North Wales, there are eight cottages in total, all positioned around a central courtyard. Not only is the area of Llŷn Peninsula stunning, but there are so many activities you’ll be spoilt for choice. Whether you’re after coastal walks, lounging on the beach, scenic countryside hikes or wandering around cute harbour villages, you can find it all here.
Natural Retreats pride themselves on offering the balance between luxury and sustainability. Each of their properties is developed to fit in with both the surrounding natural landscape and ecological constraints. Using clever design, each property also attempts to maximise natural light and warmth in order to minimise energy consumption. Each of Natural Retreats' destinations offers local produce on the doorstep, as well as locally sourced furniture and fittings, in order to support local communities and economies.
The Natural Retreats residences are constructed (in part) using Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) sourced timber, meaning the use of concrete is minimal. They also have selected a super-efficient dual rate domestic hot water and heating system, which is able to utilise the extra heat from gases that would otherwise be wasted. Furthermore, to meet the company’s energy efficiency targets, each development is insulated to a higher standard than current building regulations. Currently, the practice is to use reconstituted glass fibre for wall cavity insulation. It is generally regarded to be next to sheep’s wool in thermal capacity!
