Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport, where you will meet your guide and be transferred to your hotel to check in and rest after the journey. You will be staying in Negombo Guest House. The town of Negombo is around 10 km from the airport, on the coast. The small community is warm, welcoming and used to travellers since there are hotels and restaurants to suit travellers at all price ranges here.
Begin your day with a transfer to the start of your trek to Adam’s Peak. The conical mountain is well known for the Sri Pada or “sacred footprint” rock formation near the summit. It is this which makes the mountain sacred in many religions. In Buddhist tradition is held to be the footprint of the Buddha, in Hindu tradition that of Shiva and in Islamic and Christian tradition that of Adam, or that of St. Thomas. The main pilgrimage season runs from December to May.

After all your adventure, you will be able to relax today. Enjoy a tranquil morning and take a transfer back to Negombo. You will check in to Negombo Village Guest House, settle down and enjoy your time in the area.
