You’ve never known 'remote' quite like this... A flight into the rainforest, followed by a 2-hour long canoe ride brings you to your riverside accommodation. Don’t expect plush hotels – instead, you’ll stay in basic bungalows with no drinking water and limited electricity: the ultimate wild experience! These days will also comprise of guided tours into the wilderness, giving you a chance to meet the local wildlife and take in the mesmerising landscape that surrounds you.
Your time in the jungle must come to an end as you venture back to the airport and fly to the ancient capital of Cuzco. Much like your day in Lima, you will be free to either relax or explore once you arrive.
Set off on your travels once more, this time towards Ollantaytambo and the Sacred Valley of the Incas. You will get to experience all that the area has to offer including resplendent ruins, memorable markets and majestic mountains – a real feast for the eyes.
Today you will be lucky enough to visit ‘The Lost City’ in all its glory. Situated high above the Urubamba River, the remarkably well-preserved ruins, which include palaces, baths and temples, are waiting to be explored... Machu Picchu is surely one of the most iconic landmarks in South America, and one of the most highly anticipated sections of this tour – certainly not to be missed!
You will be transferred to Cuzco for your flight back to Lima. Pick up where you left off, or spend your afternoon chilling in your hotel before your departure tomorrow.
