The Cottage
Nefyn Bay, United Kingdom, Northern Europe, Europe
"Relax, and forget all your troubles, with a cosy cottage getaway in north-west Wales."
On a cliff top overlooking Nefyn Bay you will find this stunning property. One of eight converted stone cottages built to fit in with the spectacular surroundings, The Cottage offers rest and relaxation in unbelievable scenery. The region is best known for its beautiful unspoilt seafront, clean sea, sandy beaches and rich history. Renowned as the medieval borough chosen by King Edward I of England to host a celebration of his conquest of Wales, this area is even good enough for royalty! Spend your days exploring the local sites, and your evenings enjoying the luxury of this beautiful cottage.
The Cottage is set around a gorgeous central courtyard and features exceptional modern standards of design and yet, still manages to retain an abundance of pastoral features. With solid timber flooring throughout, granite walls, en-suites in both rooms and a super deep bath tub for that extra relaxation, Natural Retreats have successfully achieved a balance of modern and rustic qualities. Furthermore, the Cottage is pet friendly, meaning you can bring your favourite furry friends along to enjoy the miles of sandy beaches that are only a short walk from your stay. For a truly luxurious stay in one of the most beautiful
Natural Retreats pride themselves on offering the balance between luxury and sustainability. Each of their properties is developed to fit in with both the surrounding natural landscape and ecological constraints. Using clever design, each property also attempts to maximise natural light and warmth in order to minimise energy consumption. Each of Natural Retreats' destinations offers local produce on the doorstep, as well as locally sourced furniture and fittings, in order to support local communities and economies.
The Natural Retreats residences are constructed (in part) using Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) sourced timber, meaning the use of concrete is minimal. They also have selected a super-efficient dual rate domestic hot water and heating system, which is able to utilise the extra heat from gases that would otherwise be wasted. Furthermore, to meet the company’s energy efficiency targets, each development is insulated to a higher standard than current building regulations. Currently, the practice is to use reconstituted glass fibre for wall cavity insulation. It is generally regarded to be next to sheep’s wool in thermal capacity!
