"Escape to Costa Rica, one of the world’s most wildlife-rich and eco-friendly countries"
Hike around the active Arenal Volcano, enter the weird and wonderful world of the Monteverde Cloud Forest and come face to face with a wealth of wildlife. Your seven day adventure begins in San José where you’ll learn about the culture and history of Costa Rica on a sight-seeing tour of the capital. Journeying deep into the tropical Costa Rican rainforest, you’ll encounter an array of exotic flora and fauna. Later in the tour, you’ll have the option to visit the Arenal Volcano National Park, or take a floating safari along the Peñas Blancas River.
Your journey continues with a scenic lake crossing and a visit to the Santa Elena Cloud Forest Reserve. Here you’ll discover lush gardens of ferns and flowers, tangled vines and intertwining roots and, of course, misty drifting clouds that shroud the high-elevation rainforest canopy. Get intimate and immersive access to protected virgin cloud forest via an incredible network of treetop walkways and viewing platforms on a Selvatura Hanging Bridges and Canopy Tour. Thanks to the constant supply of moisture, the forest is able to support a staggering array of vegetation and wildlife including lichens, mosses, toucans, howler monkeys and sloths. You might even spot an elusive jaguar!
