Costa Rica has so much to offer that it would be impossible to see it all in one trip. Here we have a tour which takes the highlights of this spectacular country and puts them together into one fantastic tour. Over ten days you will travel from San José across the island, from cloud forest to coast.
Visit Tortuguero National Park with its beaches, lagoons, swamps, wet forests, and marshes. The park is home to many endangered species, including great green macaws, manatees, tapirs, and sea turtles and it is the most important nesting site in the Western Atlantic Ocean for the green sea turtle.
See Rincon de la Vieja, the largest volcano in the Guanacaste Mountain Range, Rincon de la Vieja is made up of 9 separate but contiguous craters. Alongside sensational wildlife, explore the local towns, raft down rapids, and explore the jungle by hanging bridge!

They hope to demonstrate what stunning places the rainforests of Costa Rica are and do their best to keep them alive and healthy. Wherever possible they use local suppliers and promote contact between tourists and locals. This provides vital resources for the local economy so other, more damaging industries are not necessary for local people to make a living. The company also promotes understanding and education wherever possible. They provide customers with advice on how best to protect the environment they are enjoying.
Arrive in San José and be met at the airport for a transfer to your hotel, where you can check in and settle down.
Your adventures will begin early with a pick up from the hotel. You will be driven to the stunning Pacuare River to enjoy its sparkling waters and fantastic rapids. You will raft down this scenic river on Class III - IV rapids, enjoy views of the dense, Costa Rican rainforest, and relax in tranquil pools along the way. After a delicious lunch, you will be transferred to the Arenal Volcano region. This stunning Volcano looks like a story-book picture. You can spend the afternoon relaxing and recuperating.
Begin day three with hanging bridges. You will start on the forest floor and make your way to the treetops across 15 bridges. This way you can admire the abundance of nature from every angle! Continue to La Fortuna Waterfall. Here you will take part in a challenging hike through dense rainforest to a stunning natural pool beneath a waterfall, where you can cool off by taking a swim! Next, you will visit the Arenal Volcano National Park for a short hike. Here you can find rivers, hot springs, and lagoons, all hidden away in this humid, verdant national park. Almost 75% of Costa Rica’s 850 bird species can be found here! The day will end at the hot springs, where you can relax in the ornate pools.
After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, you will have a bus-boat-bus transfer from Arenal to Monteverde. You will be able to enjoy stunning views of Costa Rica from the comfort of the bus. You will enjoy stunning views, glimpses of the volcano, and the chance to spot toucans, Montezuma Oropendolas, sloths, monkeys, the elusive “paca” and other tropical creatures. On arrival at your hotel, you will have the rest of the day free for leisure.
On day five you will take part in a Sky Walk (a complex of suspended bridges, platforms, and paths), the Sky Tram. And the Sky Trek (system of trails, canopy platforms, one treetop platform, one suspension bridge and zip lines built within the cloud forest). This way you can admire the beauty of the cloud forest from a totally unique perspective!
After so much excitement, you will be able to enjoy a relaxing day at Tamarindo Beach. Tamarindo is a bustling town with an abundance of restaurants, shops, and bars to enjoy. The Playa Tamarindo is a broad sandy beach, ideal for swimmers and surfers alike.
With so much to do at Tamarindo, it would be impossible to make the most of it all in a single day. On day 7 you can continue your exploration of the town and beach, or take part in optional extra activities including fishing, diving, horseback riding, and hiking.
Enjoy your final day in leasure. You will spend the morning in Tamarindo and in the early afternoon, you will be transferred back to San José.
Say fond farewells a enjoy a private transfer back to San José airport. From here, head home, or continue your travels!
