It’s time to make a change
What if you could turn your whole life around..?
Why would you wait?
Waking up these days, the sun may already be peering out from between the clouds and the birds chirruping. It certainly offers me some hope. Spring is on the way; we are almost in March! That said, for me, most days are still spent in front of my laptop, working away, reading articles, or watching movies. Like so many people, I made the new year’s resolution to get out into nature more but it looks like one more year I didn’t make it. In fact, by now, those new year’s resolutions are long forgotten by most of us. Only 7% of people manage to stick to them, so you can feel a little less guilty…right?
We waited for weeks – even months – to make that change that could make our lives better, and most of us gave up in the first week. Why did we wait? Because most of us knew that we wouldn’t do it anyway? Why keep going around in circles, promising yourself you can make that change in your life to make yourself happier and never do it? If you really want something, at some point you will just have to make it happen…
So what about less of a resolution and more of a revolution? If you really are a wildlife lover, surely you have dreamed of making wildlife protection and conservation your career? You might think it’s an unrealistic dream but people believe that about the smallest of things and the biggest. All you have to do is take the first step!
The Professional Field Guide Course in South Africa is a year-long course which teaches you everything you need to know and offers plenty of experience in the field.
“ 4-5 months of the course is spent on learning theory and practical skills from expert instructors, with the second half consisting of a safari lodge placement to give real-world work experience. At the end of the year, you’ll have worked in stunning big game areas, gained professional certification, and enjoyed a truly once-in-a-lifetime adventure!”
If you’re not sure yet, we have some shorter taster courses ideal for that dream break or as a taster for a longer project…
The Dangerous Game Training course teaches you all the ins and outs of working with the top predators in a Big Five reserve in South Africa. Learn how to protect some of the most majestic creatures on the plains!
I had my own revolution by starting my Masters in documentary-making last year and I haven’t regretted it for a second since! But it is time for that resolution…I am off to take a walk on this beautiful spring morning!
